Overall responsibility for our company and the players, coaches and football clubs it represents rests with Manuel Quintana, founder and president. As an Argentine-American raised in New York, he grew up with the sport, played midfield while an undergraduate at Stanford University, received a law degree from New York University, and brings Bravo! Bravo! SMM experience in both business and football. In 1996, Manuel Quintana became the USA’s first FIFA Players’ Agent. At Bravo! Bravo! SMM, he concentrates on player management using the experience gained from practicing business law on Wall Street and from serving as a general counsel and an Economic Development Corporation director under New York Mayors Edward Koch and Rudolph Giuliani. In 1992, while serving as an associate professor of law at Brooklyn Law School, President George Bush nominated Manuel Quintana to serve as a United States District Judge. He has set Bravo! Bravo! SMM’s direction and established its values.
Pawel Gunia, a Polish-American who holds coaching licenses issued by the United States Soccer Federation and by São Paulo State’s Sindicato de Treinadores Profissionais, supervises Player recruitment in Brazil. He travels throughout the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Parana, and São Paulo observing players in competition and in training, supervising our network of recruiters and reviewing information about players in order to select our company’s elite group.
In Argentina, the Excel group’s former recruiters work with Bravo! Bravo! SMM on an exclusive basis. They discovered Roberto Pampa Sosa, who now plays for Udinese Calcio Spa; Alejandro Chori Dominguez, the current Under-20 World Champion forward with C.A. River Plate; Ocampo, the current Argentine Under-17’s No. 10 with C.A. Velez Sarsfield; and many other great players. Each year, they contribute a very small number of outstanding Argentine players.
